CRISTEC partner of Captain Darwin’s expedition, and director Victor Rault

Captain Darwin expedition will sail in the footsteps of the famous scientist Charles Darwin to show the evolution of the environment and ecosystems over 2 centuries.

This 4-year world tour will make 10 stops, including Cape Verde, Bahia, the Galapagos, French Polynesia and Mauritius.

The objectives of this expedition are multiple but centered around a central question: how has biodiversity evolved since the passage of Charles Darwin? Will Nature and Man be able to adapt in time to cope with the climatic upheavals of our time?

To answer it, Captain Darwin’s team will meet the scientists who today study the species observed by Darwin in the 19th century. Their testimonies will be shared through video capsules and documentaries accessible to all.
